Judge Deborah Chasanow also ordered Parikh, who <span><u>pleaded guilty<\/u><\/span> in 2025 to conspiracy to commit bank fraud, to forfeit $6 million and pay more than $6 million in restitution.<\/p>\n<p>Neither Burkman nor Parikh\u2019s lawyer, Robert Welsh, responded to requests for comment.<\/p><p>Burkman and Wohl have signed several clients seeking federal pardons or support on \u201cDOJ issues\u201d since Trump returned to the White House in January 2025. Dan Crenshaw Violated the STOCK Act \u2014 Again<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The pair <span><u>pleaded guilty<\/u><\/span> to telecommunications fraud in Ohio in 2022 and are required to disclose the felony convictions on their federal lobbying registrations and reports. They later pleaded no contest in Michigan and agreed to <span><u>pay $1.25 million<\/u><\/span> to settle the case in New York, and the Federal Communications Commission fined them more than $5 million.<\/p><p>Wohl also claimed in text messages reviewed by NOTUS that prominent MAGA influencers and politicians had endorsed Boosie\u2019s pardon, but several told NOTUS or said after publication that they knew nothing about the matter.<\/p><p>\u201cNo offense but I also have no idea who you are and have never heard of your case. Seems like Burkman is using people\u2019s names without permission to get business,\u201d Laura Loomer <span><u>wrote on X<\/u><\/span> in response to a <span><u>post<\/u><\/span> from Boosie asking if she and others had spoken with the lobbyists about his pardon request.<\/p><p>JM Burkman &amp; Associates previously told NOTUS that it \u201ccannot think of a single client for whom our firm has done more work than Boosie.\u201d<\/p><p>Burkman and Wohl started lobbying for Parikh on July 14, one day after NOTUS <span><u>reported<\/u><\/span> on the fallout between Boosie and his former pardon lobbyists. By law, Burkman and Wohl do not have to disclose until mid-October how much Parikh is paying them.<\/p><p>JM Burkman &amp; Associates\u2019 federal lobbying revenue has skyrocketed since the start of Trump\u2019s second term, and their work is not limited to pardon lobbying.
