A Secret Service agent on Vice President JD Vance\u2019s detail is under investigation and faces potential criminal charges after private information was apparently leaked to the media.<\/p>

The agent, who was not identified, \u201cis the subject of an administrative investigation, and potential criminal inquiry, involving allegations of compromising operational and information security,\u201d Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi told NOTUS in a statement.<\/p>\n

MS NOW<\/u><\/span> reported last week that Vance\u2019s security team was \u201cfed up\u201d with the vice president\u2019s personal travel schedule and said some agents considered their assignments to be inappropriate and burdensome. The story included details about Vance\u2019s schedule that were not publicly known, and the Secret Service agent who is under investigation is accused of being a source for the article, according to CNN<\/u><\/span>, which first reported the probe.<\/p>

The Secret Service did not release any additional information about the matter.<\/p>\n
