Kennedy Jr. publicly <span><u>disputed<\/u><\/span> whether state officials had properly classified the cases.<\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/modernhomejournals.com\/?p=3295\">Bessent Downplays the Bond Market\u2019s Latest Swing: It\u2019s Not \u2018Dire\u2019<\/a><\/p><p>The two deaths had been reflected in the CDC\u2019s national count before being scrubbed over the weekend. The CDC said in a note posted to its <span><u>website<\/u><\/span> that it was reviewing \u201cadditional information regarding the circumstances and causes of death.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Currently available information \u201cdoes not establish whether measles caused or contributed to the deaths or whether the individuals died from other causes while infected with measles,\u201d the note says. The message mirrors the questions raised by Kennedy on Aug. 26 during a public spat with Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro.<\/p><p>Kennedy, a vaccine skeptic who has downplayed the severity of <span><u>measles outbreaks<\/u><\/span> during his tenure, questioned whether the contagious disease played an active role in the deaths.
