Minnesota congressional candidate Matt Little is eyeing an ambitious goal this week: More than 13,000 handshakes in eight hours, which would be a new world record.<\/p>

He said it\u2019s been on his mind for more than a decade: a record so untouched it has only been held by two other people, an influential governor and one of the nation\u2019s most formative presidents.<\/p>

Little will need to break the late New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson\u2019s Guinness World Record for most handshakes<\/u><\/span> by a politician, which he achieved in 2002 by shaking 13,392 hands in just eight hours, besting President Theodore Roosevelt\u2019s previous mark of 8,513.<\/p>\n
