President Donald Trump says his super PAC has \u201cclose to\u201d $1 billion, more than double what MAGA Inc. reported in cash on hand in its most recent financial disclosure.<\/p>

The political committee\u2019s filings showed that MAGA Inc. had around $403 million as of July 31. It is currently unclear whether the president is referring to a recent, so-far-undisclosed amount of money, as the super PAC does not need to next disclose its cash on hand through Aug. 31 until mid-September.<\/p>\n

The president this week has increasingly discussed his midterm spending strategy, addressing a growing concern among Republicans worried he is not doing enough to spend his war chest \u2014 which he called \u201cmy money\u201d on Friday \u2014 over the next 60 days before the November elections. The super PAC had spent relatively little on direct independent expenditures through July 31, according to Federal Election Commission records.<\/p>

\u201cWe\u2019re going to spend a lot of money because we don\u2019t want to lose our country,\u201d Trump said in the Oval Office on Friday in response to a NOTUS question, adding that he could also save some of the funds totalling \u201caround a billion dollars\u201d for future political activity.<\/p>\n
