Gil Cisneros (D-California), who sits on the House Armed Services Committee, was days or weeks late revealing more than 50 individual trades, including shares of defense contractors Palantir Technologies, Microsoft, Macom Technology Solutions and SPX Technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Other tardy disclosures by Cisneros, who <span><u>won a Mega Millions jackpot<\/u><\/span> worth $266 million <span><u>in 2010<\/u><\/span>, include trades in cryptocurrency company Coinbase Global, computer chip giant Nvidia, media conglomerate Paramount Skydance Corporation and ride-hailing platform Uber.<\/p><p>Taken together, Cisneros\u2019 improperly disclosed stock trades are worth between $95,000 and $900,000. (Lawmakers are only required to list the values of their trades in broad ranges.) Representatives for the committee, which is led by Rep. Michael Guest (R-Mississippi) \u2014 <span><u>himself as STOCK Act violator<\/u><\/span> this summer \u2014 did not respond to a request for comment.<\/p><p>In February, Cisneros told NOTUS that he doesn\u2019t manage his own investments, and therefore, does not believe that his personal stock holdings conflict with his public service in Congress.<\/p><p>NOTUS\u2019 Capitol Gains project estimated Cisneros\u2019 <span><u>median net worth to be $65.91 million<\/u><\/span> entering 2025.<\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/modernhomejournals.com\/?p=3735\">Trump Administration Removes Criticism of Confederate Memorial From Arlington Cemetery<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have a financial adviser, and you look at the size of my portfolio and you\u2019ll understand why I have a financial adviser who makes all the decisions, and I trust him to do it,\u201d Cisneros said. \u201cI trust my adviser. As I always say, I got very lucky in life and I want to be able to protect it.\u201d<\/p><p>Cisneros has made hundreds of other stock trades during the 119th Congress, House records indicate.<\/p><p>Among them: purchasing up to <span><u>tens of thousands of dollars\u2019 worth of stock in Palantir<\/u><\/span>, which also has scored Immigration and Customs Enforcement contracts, and <span><u>$15,000 worth of SpaceX stock<\/u><\/span> days after the Elon Musk-led company made its initial public offering of stock.<\/p><p>In June, Cisneros easily <span><u>emerged<\/u><\/span> from a <span><u>competitive primary<\/u><\/span> to advance to November\u2019s general election, where he\u2019s <span><u>heavily favored<\/u><\/span> to win reelection to California\u2019s , which includes parts of eastern Los Angeles County.<\/p><p>In addition to Guest, Cisneros joins an ever-growing list of federal lawmakers who\u2019ve violated the STOCK Act\u2019s disclosure provisions.<\/p><p>Since last summer, violators in the House include Reps. <span><u>Michael Rulli<\/u><\/span> (R-Ohio), <span><u>Shri Thanedar<\/u><\/span> (D-Michigan), <span><u>Tracey Mann<\/u><\/span> (R-Kansas), <span><u>Julie Johnson<\/u><\/span> (D-Texas), <span><u>Linda S\u00e1nchez<\/u><\/span> (D-California), <span><u>Julia Letlow<\/u><\/span> (R-Louisiana), <span><u>Jim Jordan<\/u><\/span> (R-Ohio), <span><u>Lisa McClain<\/u><\/span> (R-Michigan), <span><u>Pat Ryan<\/u><\/span> (D-New York), <span><u>Sheri Biggs<\/u><\/span> (R-South Carolina), <span><u>Derek Tran<\/u><\/span> (D-California), <span><u>Donald Norcross<\/u><\/span> (D-New Jersey), <span><u>Tim Walberg<\/u><\/span> (R-Michigan), <span><u>Rich McCormick<\/u><\/span> (R-Georgia), <span><u>Ritchie Torres<\/u><\/span> (D-New York), <span><u>Troy Nehls<\/u><\/span> (R-Texas), <span><u>Dan Meuser<\/u><\/span> (R-Pennsylvania), <span><u>Jonathan Jackson<\/u><\/span> (D-Illinois), <span><u>George Whitesides<\/u><\/span> (D-California), <span><u>Val Hoyle<\/u><\/span> (D-Oregon), <span><u>Austin Scott<\/u><\/span> (R-Georgia), <span><u>Debbie Wasserman Schultz<\/u><\/span> (D-Florida), <span><u>Pramila Jayapal<\/u><\/span> (D-Washington), <span><u>Kelly Morrison<\/u><\/span> (D-Minnesota), <span><u>Christian Menefee<\/u><\/span> (D-Texas), <span><u>Daniel Webster<\/u><\/span> (R-Florida), <span><u>Ed Case<\/u><\/span> (D-Hawaii), <span><u>Dan Crenshaw<\/u><\/span> (R-Texas), <span><u>Laurel Lee<\/u><\/span> (R-Florida) and <span><u>Scott Franklin<\/u><\/span> (R-Florida).
