{"id":442,"date":"2026-06-15T19:08:35","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T19:08:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/modernhomejournals.com\/?p=442"},"modified":"2026-06-15T19:08:35","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T19:08:35","slug":"trump-iran-official-sign-iran-deal-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/modernhomejournals.com\/?p=442","title":{"rendered":"Trump, Iran Official Sign Iran Deal Framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<p>President Donald Trump touted the signed peace deal with Iran on Monday, telling reporters the Strait of Hormuz would be fully open by Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/modernhomejournals.com\/?p=440\">This Nationals Team Is \u2026 What, Exactly?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Trump and Vice President JD Vance electronically signed the Memorandum of Understanding, or MOU, on Sunday, senior U.S. officials confirmed, and Mohammad Bagher-Ghalibaf signed the agreement on behalf of Iran.<\/p>\n<p>Trump, who\u2019s in \u00c9vian-les-Bains, France, to attend a Group of Seven summit, said he expects the MOU would be released \u201cpretty soon,\u201d noting it would be made public \u201csometime after Friday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want it to be released because it\u2019s a very powerful document,\u201d Trump told reporters ahead of a Monday meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. The senior U.S. officials said details of the agreement would be made public in the next 24 to 48 hours, though it is unclear if that includes the full text of the MOU. Trump said Vance would attend Friday\u2019s signing ceremony that\u2019s expected to take place in Geneva, Switzerland, saying he would \u201cprobably be gone\u201d before that takes place.<\/p>\n<p>The president went on to criticize the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, a nuclear deal with Iran brokered under former President Barack Obama from which Trump withdrew the U.S. in 2018.
