Republican Sens. <b>Bill Cassidy<\/b>, <b>Susan Collins<\/b>, <b>Lisa Murkowski<\/b> and <b>Rand Paul<\/b> voted in favor, while Democratic Sen. <b>John Fetterman<\/b> voted against the measure.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congress still hasn\u2019t seen<\/b> <b>Donald Trump<\/b>\u2019s Iran deal \u2014 but the president said <span><u>he would consider<\/u><\/span> getting its approval, even if Democrats always \u201cwant to do the opposite\u201d of what he says, he added jokingly.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cI never thought about sending \u2014 never even thought about it, but I will. I will send it to Congress,\u201d Trump told a reporter who asked about Congress\u2019 sign-off. \u201cI like the idea.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span><u>Congressional approval<\/u><\/span> is, however, required for any final agreement relating to Iran\u2019s nuclear program. (The stipulation dates back to <b>Barack Obama<\/b>\u2019s <span><u>second term<\/u><\/span>.)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sen. <b>Brian Schatz <\/b>(D-Hawaii) told Semafor that Republicans \u201care absolutely going to try to circumvent it. \u2026 They don\u2019t want this thing to be on the floor of the Senate.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>THE ADMINISTRATION<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>JD Vance clashed with<\/b> the hosts of \u201cThe View\u201d <span><u>during an interview today<\/u><\/span> when what was supposed to be a light chat to promote the vice president\u2019s new book turned into a sparring session over the Epstein files and other administration matters.<\/p>\n<p><b>In a further dismantling of the<\/b> Department of Education, the DOJ now will oversee the enforcement of civil rights in education, while the HHS will manage special education.<\/p>\n<p><b>Trump\u2019s ballroom project costs<\/b> an estimated $600 million, <span><u>The Washington Post<\/u><\/span> reports, with more than half coming from taxpayers \u2014 despite Trump\u2019s insistence that private donors would pay for all of it.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/modernhomejournals.com\/?p=534\">\u2018I\u2019m Blaming JD\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem joined<\/b> the advisory board for <span><u>NovaRed Mining<\/u><\/span>, a Canadian mineral exploration firm.<\/p>\n<h2><b>THE HILL<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Hakeem Jeffries says he <\/b>asked <b>Marco Rubio<\/b> to help get Cape Verde goalkeeper <b>Vozinha<\/b>\u2019s mother to the U.S. by the country\u2019s next match on Sunday after she <span><u>could not obtain a visa<\/u><\/span> in time.<\/p>\n<h2><b>THE COURTS<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Fifteen people in Minnesota<\/b> were charged with <span><u>conspiracy to impede or injure<\/u><\/span> federal officers following January\u2019s immigration crackdown.
